A buddy sent over some samples of a countertop material for use as handle scales. It seems to be a Corian competitor... don't know much more about it than that
(http://www.visioneersolidsurface.com/)
The material feels rather similar to Corian- pretty hard, takes an easy smooth matte finish (I'm sure I could buff it to a gloss, but I don't want it too slick), and a little heavier than Micarta. I like it well enough.
In any case I whipped up a comfy little EDC piece.
Overall length, 6.25"
Edge, 2.75"
.125" thickness 1075
Stainless hardware; kydex sheath.
