Country Boys can Survive

Backwoods....that is awesome....my dad quit smoking using those ironically. All my family is from NC, SC, or Georgia ....and it's "A Family Tradition" with us and Pepsi. One of my long time idols Marvin Sutton...aka "Popcorn" Sutton drank Pepsi too. Kinda soothes the tummy you know. Thanks for the compliments guys.....as 13oss says....let's drink.

Maybe one of you guys can get a jar of some good ole mountain dew and bring it to share at the camping trip?

I'm loving this thread, I'm kind of a rum guy myself, but truthfully it's whatever gets the job done.

If love to spit some Beechwood in that punks eyes, and shoot him with my old .45, cuz the country boy can survive. Country folks can survive!!!

I'm likely to never get this out of my head but Damn what a song

Here in Canada we drink whiskey straight. Maybe when you're as country as you claim you'll get on our level ;)

Check out Rebel Yell. Fine, cheap whiskey. 'bout $12 for 750 mil.

Rebel Yell isn't bad at all. In that price range though, I honestly prefer Old Crow. If I have a few more bucks to spend, Evan Williams.

OP, if you get a vape like one of those^^^, you'll put the stank sticks down for good.

I had smoked for a long time and quit by tapering off. (Couldn't smoke at my job). I wound up having 1 on the way to work, 1 at lunch, 1 later in the day and finally said "screw it".

I started a job that was high stress where everybody smoked. I took it back up like an idiot after being quit for 10 years. I thought I'd smoke forever that time. I'd tried patches, the gum, lozenges, the stupid "e-cigs", chantix, nothing worked. A friend of mine gave me a quality vape and I haven't looked back...

The situation was: I had 2 cigarettes left last Xmas eve. I thought "ok, I'll finish these up, then when I'm at my folks house I'll give that new vape a shot. If it doesn't work I can always go buy a pack". It worked like a charm! I started on 12mg nicotine, I'm now at 3mg. NO cigarettes at all since quitting. Health has improved, saved a shitload of money. It's every bit as satisfying as smoking. BUT, you have to start on a quality setup to break away from smoking.

Give one a try. Blow some clouds bro. You'll thank me when you can breathe like normal again.

I'm with you on straight! Much more flavor when it's warm and not thinned with water!

The Macallan scotch on ice, I like to softly swing the glass in circles for 5 min or so until the ice and scotch get acquainted...great on a cold fall day in front of the fire... if it's a party, Jameson all the way, shots :D

Old Crow, yea..That and Wild Turkey 80 proof. ..,I founf the RY smoother.. never tried the EW. Johnny Red and Black were always good enough for me and Glenlivet 12, for single is fine, fine..A friend introduced me to Buchanan, wasnt familiar w/ it..very impressed..'bout the same price as JW Black, I think. Honestly, dont drink much these days..prefer Scotch, neat and wine. Used to be a vodka drinker..neat..settled on Kettle One, switched to scotch years ago...my old man said. "When Scotch starts tasting like candy, its time to quit"..That was years ago as well..yummy caramel and charcoal..

Cigarettes vs Vape..? I should make the switch. I quit for 9 months,,started again like you, from being on the job w/ smokers...Nice cloud by the way..

Never met him. I am talking to jack right now. Do You want me to tell him you said hello?

I'm talking to Evan Williams. Maybe we should get Johnny, Jack, Henry, George, Evan, Jim, and their Old Granddad together! Lol

I don't discriminate here. I'll take just about any whiskey, low to high, straight up. It's all good, just some is better. But I've never smoked, except the occasional celebratory cigar, or a pipe. I have a bit of weakness for pipes, it's what my dad smoked while i was growing up. But he died of lung cancer when I was 12, so I generally keep the smoking to a minimum. Oh, and Busse content.... I'm waiting on my TGCG. [ETA: Oops, meant to say, TGBG.... ]
