I have ordered a few times from this site and got my order in a timely manner albeit with zero communication from them. As long as I get what I pay for I am ok with that.

I placed an order with them last month and a few days later I received a padded envelope with part of my order in it. Also in the envelope was a copy of the email from paypal showing the order. Someone had circled some of the items in red. I couldn't make any sense of the system as to the circled items. I had received some but not all of the circled items. The other items not circled I didn't get at all.

I waited a bit and sent them an email when I got nothing from them telling me when to expect the rest of my order. No response.

After a few days I sent them another email. No response.

Their website states if they don't respond your email must be in their spam folder. No other instructions or anything. This ends the customer service process?

Unbelievable, there is no phone number or any other way to contact them other than sales@countycomm.com. Which they don't respond to.

I wait another week and a half and file a paypal dispute. They respond instantly to that with a tracking number of the partial order. So I email them again. Still no response directly to me.

I find a phone number on the web. I get an electronic message telling me to contact them by email :grumpy:

Now I see their website is down for a few weeks while they move.

They are the poster child of poor customer service and at this point they are thieves in my opinion.

Their approach to a lot things is often lackadaisical and seem to want little actual interaction with customers in terms of responding to issues. The fact that it took a payment dispute to get any kind of response out of them is not surprising to me. They've got cool stuff but I decided it was nothing I couldn't live without or find somewhere else after my last order.

I hope things get squared up for you.

Keep with the Paypal dispute. You aren't the only one, and if they have too many disputes pile-up, PayPal will come down on them. This helps everyone.

I finally got the rest of my order. After countless emails and countless lies. Promises that it had shipped and then when it didn't show up they told me the post office lost the package. No tracking numbers provided for the lost shipments and not enough time had passed for the post office to even say they were lost.

They finally did ship the remainder of my order. One item was defective but I have had all the BS I can take.

The whole thing really surprised me as I have had other orders in the past with no problems. In their defense they were moving through some of this time. Still doesn't explain the blatant lies and the incredibly difficult process of reaching them. I really don't believe they are as big of an operation as they imply they are on there website.

All is well that ends well I guess. It was an incredibly frustrating and time consuming ordeal for no reason. It seems simple enough to me, place your order, submit payment (at which time your job should be finished), then they should package your items, finally your package should be shipped. Doesn't always work that way for some reason.

This place sells similar items to countycomm, but as far as I am aware they are not county comm. I ordered an embassy pen and some other stuff and the owner Miles, emailed me that night. I mean, it was like 10:30pm. He mailed my stuff out the enxt day and it was a perfect deal. Miles was professional, helpful, and humble. Can't ask for more.

Thanks for the link, I just bookmarked it. While it does look like mirror of countycomm, Survival Shop is in Oregon (I think), while countycomm is in CA.

It looks like they buy a lot of their stuff from County Comm. I'll probably try them next time. Thanks for the heads up RevDevil.

In my searching around I found the same people that own County Comm also own Maratec and EOD Robotics. None of them seem to have any significant staff. It more seems like a guy playing. I like some of their stuff but I don't like being mislead.

The reason I bought from the site listed above was because he offered USPS shipping (actual cost), and he had what I wanted in stock. I would buy from Miles again, in fact I was looking at the Titanium Embassy pen recently ;)

countycomm's shipping kills me, I live less than half an hour away from them, and have to pay the standardized shipping costs and they don't offer some sort of way to pick up the order.

I have a titanium embassy pen and I like it pretty well. It is still too heavy to carry in most summer shirts and the fact you have to keep track of the cap when you are using it reduces its useability somewhat. I can't even imagine how heavy the stainless or copper ones must be. They don't advertise it to be used as a kubaton but it makes a very serviceable one. The knurling on it makes it very easy to hold in place once you have the end buried into the joint of your chosing.

I'd buy another one if I were to ever be separated from the one I have.

I thought Countycomm's shipping had actually come down a little bit, based on my last order. That said, it's still high.
Glad to see the OP got his stuff finally.

I'd be more than happy to assist in a separation between you and the pen ;)
I have the aluminum one and it is one of the best desk pens I've ever had. I also cqarry it when I'm at a job site.
