Every try to build a Cobb Salad while under a mortar attack? If you had you would know the speed of the combat lettuce knife can save minutes and thus lives...starvation is not a pretty sight.

Cold, tired, wet, hungry. No time to be slicing your thumb fixing a sandwich.

Actually, they're selling it on an open website, not restricted to miltary. Just because they like an occasional exotic background for advertising doesn't mean only EOD get to slice the lettuce.

Because its cheaper and better to buy a plastic lettuce knife to poke around sand and rocks looking for nasty things that go boom than go out and buy a Mission MPK for $300 and squirm every time a rock hits it.

Im only asking because on their website, it says "These are left over from a recent contract and we don't expect them to return once they are gone." So I assumed it was for the military.
