Countycomm Maratac AAAx2 Titanium

Why do you carry/buy the triple A light - is it for the slim compact size?

Its an honest question - Im not dissing your flashlights.

Im all for (most) flashlights and in particular those of titanium.

Carry the titanium Mini S Baton Olight running CR123.

Also bought the raw brass version but that is relatively 'weighty' (I cant bring myself to call it heavy) compared to the standard version and the Ti light.

Sure but that goes for AA batteries as well.

Apropos nothing at all: I have a Streamlight - it can run both AA and CR123.

I always found that quite nifty. You should be able to source AAs if not CR123.

Not that Ive ever run out of CR123 batteries - knock on wood.

Got mine in time for this week's nightshifts, very pleased with it... especially for the price :D.

If it was down to choice I think I'd pick a light that runs of CR123 vs AA. For this particular light they only do it in AAA. The do a smaller AA ti body light but not a double.

I picked it because I got a single AAA TPF from Maratac that I really like the performance of but found it would snag and pop out of my pocket since it was so short. My prior carry had been a Surefire Outdoorsman single CR-123.

I don't mind AAA or AA lights as I use Lithium batteries in them.
