Couple 52100 Petty Knives - SOLD

First sale post so bear with me. Normally make straight razors but my love of cooking has me wanting to venture into kitchen cutlery. Both of these were triple normalized and double tempered at 400 °C.

Both hand sharpened on wetstones. Bester 500 -> Bester 1200 -> Ohira Renge Suita w/ Nagura progressions. ~15° per side.

First one - 6” Spalted Sycamore Petty/Mini-Chef 52100

Blade Features -
Steel: 52100
Grind: Flat
Finish: Hand Rubbed to 500 grit
Distal Taper and Rounded Choil/Spine. Tapered Tang.

Handle -
Material: Stabilized Spalted Sycamore w/ nickel and black lined red/black recon stone wedge spacer. Black Liner w/ nickel pins.
Style: Modified Wa Style, full tang construction
Finish: Hand Finished to 6000 grit 3M micro paper

Blade Thickness (measured at maker’s mark): 0.093”/2.36mm. Tapers to 0.062”/1.57mm about 1” from the tip

2nd one - 6” African Wenge Petty/Mini-Chef 52100

Material: Stabilized African Wenge w/ copper and black/white lined mammoth tooth recon stone wedge spacer. white liners w/ copper pins.
Style: Modified Wa Style, full tang construction
Finish: Hand Finished to 6000 grit 3M micro paper

Price drop on these. These are hand rubbed and not belt finished so a lot of work went into them.
