I got these in the mail today. Many of you will recognize the top one as the Koyote Pass around. The bottom one is a new Maple Nessie from DJJ. Really a great feel to this one and excellent workmanship. My picture made a strange reflection on the lower part of the blade. I can get some better shots and action shots a a bit nicer day outdoors. The Nessie has a 3 1/2 inch Blade and 4 1/2 inch handle that really fits me.

that djj looks great! i really like that dark striped maple. looking forward to your review of the koyote too.

We need a break in the weather up here. If you get one decent day, you have so many things to try to get done that it's just a joke. Out in the woods and shelter belts the snow is 5-8 feet deep. We have some horses that have a little path from the hay to the water tank and back to the barn anywhere else that they try to go they fall through and get high centered. When we get snow in November, it's here until late April or early May. I think we have had 67 inches, then it drifts almost every day.

I have lots of knives to test.:D I went down to my land in SD last week, Snow is gone and it was 70 degrees. I hated to come back to Hell but we only had a couple days to spend there.

Take your time with the Koyote, give it some good use and when you are satisfied with it pass it on. No rush, I understand weather is a PIA.

The Nessy is great looking. DJJ does a great job and his fit and finish is really nice on the ones I have handled. That Nessy looks like a great example....

Nothing like handling a new knife for the first time! Can't wait to read your report and adventures with the two new ones!

Thanks guys.

Tonym There is a question mark by the name that is next in line. Do you know anything about that?

Jim it should go to Eugene, OR when you are through with it. Ted Palmer has dropped out of the passaround. I thought I had that taken care, my fault.

Nice! I really like the Nessie pattern, the more I use it, the more I like it. What steel is it made out of?

Jim, oh I'm glad the knife made it safely. I wanted to keep it!

The DJJ is fabulous looking. Dennis makes some great stuff-he also rehandles and makes tough as nails sheaths. And a nice guy too!
