About a year ago friend of mine was looking for a big chopper to cut weeds around the place and chop the small twigs and branches off the logs so the wouldn't knock the chain off the bar of his chain saw. I had a CS Bolo Machete that I gave him to try out. He loved it. The other day I was out to his place and the CS Bolo was laying in the corner by a big pile of slit up fire wood. He told me he used that Bolo for everything around the place and had split all the fire wood there with it. He had hit the floor several times and hit the ground with it a lot chopping weeds. I couldn't believe the great edge it still had on it although he has never touched it. I Had it sharp when he bought it. The CS Bolo is a heavy and heavy duty user.
When I saw that I decided to order another one for myself. While I was at it I ordered another 12 inch Tram because the shipping would have been the same anyway. Most of the Trams I have ordered were so dull that you couldn't cut anything with them. This new one came razor sharp right out to within 1/2 inch of the tip. The wood handle is a lighter colored wood that the older ones and though I didn't measure the blade width, this one may be a hair thinner. Does anyone know if the have changed them?
