These are the rest of the old Jacks I found last weekend, first up is a Camillus bare end Jack with nice bone, full blades, does have some pitting and a slight edge bone loss on mark side. Has 4 line tang stamps, main is straight, pen is curved, from what I've read this dates it to 1915.

The other is a New York Knife Co Jack, very similar to the GEC Eureka Jack, unfortunately the blades of this one have been poorly sharpened, still a pretty nice knife, has coin edge liners, long match strike pull. Some of the pics show a comparison to the GEC.

Those two are special is so many way....wow! The bone on the Camillius is sweet and the Eureka is just on fire. Your a magnet:D:thumbup:

Curved stamp on that Camillus. Beautiful!

Augie, I KNEW this was going to be good, the only time I have seen the Camillus stamp before is with my friend Charlie.

Wow- ...that is such a neat knife, you have amassed a wonderful array of stunning old knives Augie, and I just absolutely LOVE viewing them.

EVERYTHING about the Camillus is great, The jigging is so so superior, Hammered pins, Stunning Stamps - thats for sure -Just a fantastic Swedge going on there - quite simply - how does it get better than this?
I find at time Camillus slightly underrated for how much of a massive and fantastic Cutlery firm they were! Heres your proof in front of us!

By the way - that New Yorker is no slug either- Augie, I would have picked that knife up in a heart beat - sure it has sharpening marks- but they most certainly have not destroyed the knife - its a beauty my friend.

Very nice! Wow those are both beauties. It's fun to see the old originals alongside the GEC knives - it just confirms the superb workmanship of GEC to be able to bring back these wonderful knives from yesteryear.

Both are stunning. The Camillus has everything and the jigging is soooo nice.
The NYK is more of a dog leg than eureka to my eyes but it is no less than the Camillus

What a great find.

Mike

John, that Camillus is superb! It has all the attributes one looks for in a vintage/antique folder. Like Duncan said that New York Jack is no slouch either:thumbup: Thanks for some very nice high quality photos of your prize finds. Lloyd

Both super Augie, but the Camillus is the nicest I've ever seen, THANK YOU for showing it:cool::thumbup:

John, you are consistently turning up some amazing knives!
There must be a horseshoe, :rolleyes:ummmm . . . . . hanging over your computer!!:D

:D, walking is a little uncomfortable but must make sacrifices in the hunt for the rare old ones:D

Thank you all for your kind comments, much appreciated. Many members here really know a lot and through your finds and postings have given me an education in what to look for.

Here is one more picture I should have included on the NYK Co, the coin liners, I bet this knife looked incredible when new.

Congratulations on hunting down those superlative trophies, Augie!!:thumbup:
I really like the wooden covers on the NYKC; do you know what kind of wood that is?
I have an old Holub electrician's knife with synthetic covers that I'll bet are intended to simulate the coloring in the wood on your knife!

Thanks, I'm thinking rosewood, the Eureka Jack is East Indian Rosewood and it's almost a dead ringer to the NYKC.
