Large Bushcraft
Small Bushcraft
Tackett's attention to detail is amazing. His Scandi Grinds are some of the best I've ever seen. Incredibly even and symmetrical, as well as stupid sharp. Both of these knives were purchased without sheaths, but I'm including sheaths. Not sure of the wood in either one. If anyone is good with naming woods out there, by all means, let me know and I'll edit the post. What I do know about each is they are going to be missed. Of all my knives, they probably feel the best in my hands.
Both are ground from Aldo's 1095 and have natural Micarta liners.
Not sure of the names, so I'll call one Large and the other small.
Large has a 4 1/2" blade with 9 1/4" overall and ground from 5/32". It, like most of my knives, saw some kitchen action and that was about it. The discoloration on the grind has been removed. Never batoned or torqued or twisted.
Small has a 3 5/8" blade with 8 1/4" overall and ground from 3/16". Notice the small version has thumb jimping near the handle, as well as the tip. Very cool. The toughest project this did was a figure 4 trap and then some kitchen work. No abuse or batoning.
Large, Asking $165.00 shipped CONUS. Paypal much preferred, I'll eat the fees.
Small, Asking$150.00 SOLD shipped CONUS. Paypal much preferred, I'll eat the fees.
Do not hesitate to contact me or PM me with any questions you may have.
Thank you very much for looking!
