Couple Umnums

That's a tough question....i like them both but if i must chose i would say the tanto....it has a sexy look and is one hell of a cutter.

The first day i had it i took to chopping a notch in a hardwood tree to test the edge....i was very abusive with it.....when i got home i cleaned off the blade only to find NO damage and the knife would still shave hair and shred paper with ease....it came wicked sharp from Chris Reeve.

The reg. umnum is a awesome cutter after i convexed the edge....convex is the way to go...IMO.

I read all these threads about sharpening with all the different sharpeners and how people can't get certain steels sharp or how one steel is better than the other....IMO this is not the case....you must know HOW to sharpen a blade.....tools like crock sticks are only for maintenance IMO.

I own convexed fix blades that are scary to handle....I mean that when you are inserting it back into the sheath if your not careful that it will easily slice the sheath in half (leather).
