Been busy with a full case load lately. Here are the happenings.

Last week.

Two Speed Safe cases.

People v Salisbury case #05SM03767
Arrested for 653k. Knife was Kershaw Leek.
Not guilty.

People v Spease case # 05SM0366
Arrested for 653k. Knife was Kershaw Blur.
Not guilty.

This week.

Started a appeals case. Defendant was found guilty of 653k (not my case;) ). We are taking the case to the 4th District Court of Appeals. Knife meets exemption clause. Should be a slam dunk for state wide case law.

Jury trials on Wednesday and Thursday. 653k case.

I also have another juvi case set to start on Monday.

Sometime during all this I will find time to actually make some knives myself:D

You are doing a great service to the citizens of California. Keep up the good work.

Thanks for your efforts, R.W.! Glad to see people like you standing up for our knife rights in this state.

Won today. Guy was arrested for 653k. The knife was a Kershaw Blackout Speedsafe.

Todays case, the Spease case and the Salisbury case all started with CVC (ca vehicle code) infractions of bicycle operating laws. Two were for no head lights and todays was for no bicycle registration tag:jerkit:.

He was on probation for another crime, so should not have had a knife at all. They violated him on that, but at least he did not get the 653k added on.

GEE....Bike laws infractions....only justication for that could be a drug prone area where the dealers use bikes and that is the one method they use to allow a "officer safety" search.....still better ways to get the real bad guys......Good work on your side.....I made hundreds off arrests mostly for drugs but Never for a simply knife possession....
