As I was sitting on the fence whether to pick up on the web special cow bone 110 I noticed they disappeared:eek: LOL, I see one has already made it's way to the ocean.

Well, there's an old saying about that. Something to do with snoozing..........!:)

They still have the camel bone 500's! ;)

You can still get one from Bass pro shop. The one I got from them came with a silver frame not brass and is very nice looking!

Hi Sky,

I think my Buck collection is just pointing out that I have a serious hoarding disorder linked to.....OCD:eek:. But, don't tell anyone as I'll just deny it:D. Hay do me a favor and post some photo's of those single blade slippies....I don't have any of those and just may need one....or three after seeing what they sent you!

Here is a photo of my BP NS Bone 110.

The 301s haven't made it here yet but when they do I'll post photos. The ones on the web special page have 301 on the blade but I believe they are prototypes.

Sky, please excuse the stupid question.
What do you mean with: "... one has already
made it's way to the ocean." ?

Many thanks for an answer.

I see that not only the cow bone 110's but also the single bladed 301's hit the bay also. I'm surprised that the 154CM Dymondwood 110's aren't there yet.

I guess it's to be expected and it's none of my business, but it just ticks me off just a bit to see the knives from the web specials page show up on eBay at a MUCH higher price. Am I the only one who feels that way? It's even worse when BCCI offerings show up there right away after they are available.

As I don't have access to a computer to look at such things during the work week now. Those bone 110's were gone from the site before I could even have a look at them.

You are not the only one who feels that way.
But you find these dealings when Buck sells the
special items with special prices.

I've bought extras of quite a few of the web specials with the idea of being able to share them with other forum regulars that missed out for one reason or another and have done so in the past. I don't have extra's of the cow bone 110 but I do have a bunch (10) of the 154CM 110's so before anyone here pays a huge amount for one from eBay, contact me. I'm not planning on making a dime off the ones I have.;)

More than those from the web special page, the BCCI offering bug me the most. Heck, I saw knives from this years Heritage set offered on the bay before I even received mine!

i agree completely on being upset at seeing that. i'm a newbie to all this collecting so don't have the knowledge to know what makes one worth more then the other as far as stamps/pins/liners etc..but i know when i see a nice version on the web specials i won't beat it (if available elsewhere) new so i grab em. and generally grab a couple extras to give my buddies as gifts since for the price of a regular one i can get em a "good un".

haven't sold any just gifted some of the extras but am the same way, if a buddy sees one and "wishes" he had bought one i sell it for what i paid if i have a spare.

i am too ignorant and would get burned buying on that other site and it's not my character to buy em up and stick it to the next guy. hard to explain the difference i see between buying em at a great deal and a couple years later selling em at a profit if that's what ya do versus buying em one day and jacking up the next. course mine are for keeping/trading/sharing/passing along and not for sale anyway so might be different if i start selling some.

I understand what you're saying, but at the same time it's a free world...if Buck cared they could limit purchases, I guess. Yeah, it's annoying, but it's also part of our economy, for both better and for worse. :thumbdn:

oh yeah, and on my end just meant not the way i am doing things. nothing against folks that do. i'm just glad Buck offers these so i can grab some of what i like and wanna share w/out having to know is it a fake, is that really that steel etc...

years ago didn't have a problem at all buying an entire display of ugly sticks that were mispriced for $2.98 instead of $29.98. kept a few that i could imagine "needing" and sold the rest to friends and fishing buddies for $10 each. they were happy and i made a few bucks

am sure Buck feels the same way, they've got something out of em and cleared the shelves and the buyers may keep or sell for a profit. just lesson learned, if ya see one ya like buy it (and a few more) before they are gone!

Now, I am seriously choked about that and I can only imagine your reaction, Dave.

As for the BP110 cow bone version, mine came in a 'Special Edition' box, with a distressed leather sheath and a brass frame. I guess there must have been two editions.

That's the same way as mine (from the web specials page) came. The BPS ones have the NS bolsters according to jb. I never have bought one of those, so I don't know what kind of box they come in.

The reason I didn't jump on the web special cowbone was because I think the BP version has a CPM-154 blade, which might be worth paying a little more for...? Still thinkin'. I want to scrounge up the ante for the 532 that's on the specials page... :)
