Here is one you might like to see. It has a modified "W" pattern and pre-ban ivory scales. I made the sheath also. It is my second tooled leather sheath.

Very very nice. I would love to see that pared up with an blued steel, case hardened, ivory handled six shooter, with a matching holster rig.

As usual another great work of art. Those old Sheffield cutlers would be in awe to see how far this design has progressed. With a few old Winchester's, Colt's and this bowie, life couldn't get much better.

Sweeeeet BB.;):D:D But who made the Damascus?????? HEHEHEHEHEHE!!!
Looking forward in seeing some Indian Motorcycle Chain Damascus.:eek:;);):D No hurry, I am just teasing you.:)

Wow Bruce! That is just a fantastic looking knife! The pattern reminds me of a dancing fire! -Matt-

That's a terrific piece, Bruce. Love the damascus pattern. You did a fine job on the sheath, too.

Roger

Bruce, I think there's hope for you. Thats one fine looking knife and sheath! I've always liked W's and this is the best example I have seen. I had some leather tools before the fire and I think I did find them but have no idea what I did with them. Never did get a chance to try them.

Thats a great looking knife sir. I think I will have to show my dad that one. Cowboy is a good word to describe that bowie and I think my old man would have to agrea. In fact I have in my shop a knife of the same basic design that I am building for my dad. Of course yours is much better but thats what it made me think of. The pattern on the blade is super and fits the knife great.

Great work! You are always inspireing.

Super piece, Bruce. Tell me about the damascus pattern, is that an accordion cut billet???

Thanks Don
Nope its not accordian cut. It is W pattern with more 15n20 content than 1084 and cut into tiles with 45 degree slices. I restacked the tiles and dry welded the billet back together. Next I pressed a "texas wind" pattern in and ground off the tops. Its just that easy. I glad you asked.:)

I have to say thats very, very nice work.I don't post much over here as you know but that caught my eye right quick like.

Beutiful work Bruce! That would go great with an engraved ivory handled Richard's conversion.
