Hi Guys,

This forged 5160 bowie really feels good in the hand. Nice deep clipped blade is 8.5", 3/16's spine, with an antiqued etched finish. The S-guard and butt plate are forged mild blued steel. Notice the little curl on the butt. This is not only decorative, but offers a neat little restraint to the hand when in use. The dropped handle is ironwood and boar tusk, with a little brass thrown in for the cool factor. Razor sharp, of course.

The sheath is fringed, brass tacked, and solid as a rock. It's been water-proved as well. The is a knife ideal for the woods.

Asking $275. + $20. forfees and shipping. Paypal and money orders accepted. Paypal info is: dwstifle@yahoo.com

Thanks

Dave

thanks Guys,
Sorry for the oversight; the steel is 5160. The display stand shown comes with the knife as well, since it expressely made for this knife.

regards,
Dave

That is a really fine knife. When I first saw it, the first thing that came into my old mind was Willie Nelson singing the song "Highwayman" and the verse about "some shed his lifeblood on my blade."

Thanks for posting the pictures.

Very nice. Like the other too! Glad to see another Virginian posting on here :D

Thunder47, that's pretty cool. Thanks! Reik, thanks from one Virginian to another.:) Glad you like the other Bowie as well.

Looking great David, Love those antiqued brass tacks and the way the handle curves in your hand. Quite an impression you are making:D

How long is the handle following the curve of it and how long from end of handle to the guard following the straight line.

Bear,

From top of handle, from guard to buttplate, 4.5". On a straight line from guard tp buttplate, 4 inches.

Thanks,

Dave

Thanks Tom,

Everyone who has handled it has loved it. It's a great user sized knife with a handle that just molds to your hand.

Thanks for your kind comment.
