I just made this for a customer and it didn't fit....some guys just refuse to believe that their jean size and belt size are different.
It's a size 32, cowhide, mahogany in color, two layers glued and stitched. A full 1/4" in thickness.

Is the belt length 32"?

I am a 32-33 waist but I usually buy a 34-36" belt.
 
It's 32" measured to the center hole ( I punched 5 holes)......it's quite normal for your belt size to be around 3" longer than your pant size.
 
Thanks. Just measured my current belt and it is 42" long not including the buckle. The holes I use are at the 32-33" inch mark measured from the end of the leather not including the buckle. I am sure it would fit but how much "extra" is there? My current belt is a little long, having 4 1/2 inches extending past the jeans belt loop that is just to the left of the button. Can you give me a total length of the leather not including the buckle? Sorry, this should not be so difficult but I just want to be sure it would work.

If I'm to make a size 33" belt, I will start out with a 42" length of strap...but you don't need to concern yourself with that. The only way I can make a belt and insure it will fit you is if you follow my measuring instructions:
Measure a belt you now wear, from the tip of the buckle (see picture) to the hole you now use. That is your belt size.
This particular belt has 5 holes punched, and measure from 30" in belt size to 34"

Gotcha. Thanks for the reply.

Tip of buckle to hole I use most is 35 1/2 " so looks like that belt would be a little small for me. Someone lankier than me will get a great deal!

Unfortunately it won't fit me either, but I just emailed a request to have one made in my size -Absolutely beautiful belts!
