It may take a few good men to handle this one -- 25 inches, 1/2"+ thick and 74 ounces by Kumar. Karda is 8.75 inches and 3/16"+ thick. Not for old men with bad backs and/or weak hearts. I had a hard time getting it onto the scales. Fine work by Kumar. Can't find a think wrong with this rig. It goes for 1/2 + shipping which in this case is $125 + $25 = $150.

Here's a very decent 25 inch 33 ounce Sirupati by kami with no name. This knife has been in the field awhile and suffered very minor edge damage -- can be used as is or five minute regrind or work out with stone in 30 minutes. Old style tooled scabbard. Still a serviceable rig. Take it for $75 delivered to your door.

25 inch 41 ounce Sirupati by Sher -- Usual Sher quality. Can't find anything to complain about. Entire rig rates 10/10. Half plus shipping works out to be $87.50 delivered to your door.

Excellent 30 inch 3 pound Sirupati by Sher with usual Sher quality and features. Another 10/10 effort by a fine kami. Take this rig home for an even $100.

Call or email.

Better hurry. The race between factory completion and bankruptcy is going to be close.

Look out!

If the Kamis have gotten into making the BIG KNIVES, wonder when we will see a JANWAR KATNE. One of them is sure to want to try one.:D

Speaking of big knives your short Tibetan Sword just arrived via DHL and Yangdu says she things she'll get it shipped today. Chokpa is helping so things are taking longer than usual.

Yeah, that karda is big enough to deserve a karda & chakma set along side it! :D
That 25" AK is a monster... beautiful too. I couldn't justify it, so I went with the beautiful 25" Sirupati by Sher. I can use that for brush clearing, but the AK... if I had serious tree chopping to do, I'd be all over it.

VERY impressive!!
That 30" siru looks comparable to a fair size bowie then you remember...that thing is 30 INCHES LONG!!
A yard stick laid out in the photo's would really help in the scale.

Unfortunately my wife disagrees with "debt is good". :D

YIPPEE! Hope the balance is as great as the one at the convention. Felt like it was part of my hand. Really felt good...

How much grip is there on the 30 inch Sirupati? I need to use two hands on that one.

Do you know the total length of the handle Uncle Bill?

If only that 25 AK had been wood-handled...

I have two, one horn and one wood. They're both awesome but they have very different personalities. The wood handled one is an honest, hard worker. A friendly, if forceful, blade. And then there's The Black Eel. There's nothing friendly about her at all. She's the one that stays by my side of the bed.

Bill did it again. He convinced the kamis that the reason the US was a world superpower had to do with our special regiments of 8' tall ghurkas and their tank skinning khukuri knives. :D

Handle is about 7.5 inches, Eik.

I just found out that my hands cover about 8,66 inches when I put them together grasping something. If that handle is 7,5 inches as a total of the wood section then I think the end part of the handle will be somewhat incomfortable. It will dig very much up into my palm.

I should grow muscles then so I can use it with only one arm.
