I've been staring at your photos for 10 minutes now. Absolutely perfect. This is going on my wish list for sure.

Thank you foofie glad you like it. This is my first blade with stabilized burl pretty happy with the results. The pictures don't really do the handle justice very hard to capture in the image properly.

Paul,

I assume the thumb ramp (thumb divot?) is rounded. Where do you strike the fire steel?

I left the entire spine at 90 degrees including the thumb area for use with the fire steel. I built another like this with micarta and found that at 5/32 thick it is not uncomfortable to handle on the spine while maintaining the striking surface.

I have a CPE EDC in Elmax and it is absolutely one of my favorite knives. Fabulous quality! This Maple Burl version looks awesome!
