Good afternoon all!

I have the opportunity (thanks to another member here) to have possession of a CPK EDC 2 and EDC 1.2.

I know some of you have asked me to make an EDC sheath before. I’m gauging interest and whether or not I should open a pre-order thread.

Thank you.

Feel free to state your preferred carry.

I would consider making them like the REK Q sheaths (belt, pocket and drop). Modular so that you could do either belt, pocket or horizontal carry.

I like modular, that way I can choose to carry on my belt loop dropped, or put on a Mummert and carry IWB. Even OWB, if I’m feeling naughty 🙊 lol.

I personally like slim and minimal foot prints, especially for a smaller knife like the EDC 😊

I'll apologize now in case this gets long winded. 😄

I carry an CPK EDC of one flavor or another more days than not, but I'm kinda finicky and like a simple belt sheath that has the butt of the handle ride at or just below belt level.

It just carries so easy summer or winter and is easy access no matter how many layers of clothing I wear and even in awkward tight spots it's easily accessible. And it doesn't move around as much as a dangler type attachment. I have added Sagewood drop attachments with the solid leather loop to several pocket sheaths to achieve the lower or belt level ride.

All that said ... your sheaths fit very well and are usually adaptable so I'm open to see what your design thoughts are.

A pic below of a simple sheath from Joufuu Leather that I had him adjust the ride height to show my preference on the ride height where I found works great for me. It may not fit what you have in mind or what others would want, I know a lot do pocket carry with smaller fixed blades.

I always appreciate your input, JJ.

This^

I just saw this post and thought the word "minimalistic" or a minimal foot print is probably a better descriptor that me using "simple" above. I do like simple sometime, but sometimes I also like the extra touches of inlays or textured leathers etc ...

I don't know what's feasible, Coleman, but a, (for lack of a better term), minimalist sheath like the one you built for the REK Ember would be a hit...unless you only made that with the Ember in mind. But something like that could be used for pocket, AIWB or belt.

When I compare it to other sheaths built for knives of roughly similar dimensions, you seemed to be able to do more with less, if you get my drift.
