This thread is dedicated to all the kind and generous folk who populate this forum. If you got a story where someone went above and beyond for you, please share it here.

*****

I'll start- a week or so ago, Fonedork posted up a picture of this Terzuola designed Spyderco folder that got my attention. I thought it was a cool looking knife, and said so. I'm a big fan of Bob Terzuola's designs, and own a number of factory produced fixed blade knives, but no folders.

Well, the mail lady showed up today with a box for me. Lo and behold, a Terzuola designed Spyderco!

A couple dudes, (not to mention Nate and Jo, they're like Santa!) have been really generous as well, and both Casinostocks and J. Fournier deserve a shout out as well.

Thank you all for being so excellent!

@azwelke

March 17th is a very special day for my wife and I, my people and my profession.

AZWelke procured, for me, an EDC. I would've never gotten one without him. At the time of the sale I was celebrating my anniversary, my Irish heritage and police officers all over the world! Thank you, sir.

Also special mention to the stud @betzner who helped my acquire an edc2.

Two big league guys. Thank you!

Most definitely:

The following are all well-known members of this forum and I’m sure everyone has a nice story to tell about each of them:

Special thanks to (in alphabetical order) Casinostocks Casinostocks @FeralGentleman and @gusbuster who each went out of their way to help me obtain my first CPK (an edc2), in addition to taking time to share advice and thoughts in PMs.

Also: a very special thank you to Hard Knocks Hard Knocks - the first to reach out to me when I was still new to BF and searching for a particular knife. Thanks to HK, I immediately felt welcome and that this was a place I wanted to spend more time.

I'd like to give a shout out to @TommyGun56 for hooking me up with my first ever CPK and for loaning me a FK to try before I buy. @ManOfSteel89 for scoring me an HDFK. Casinostocks Casinostocks and Hard Knocks Hard Knocks for lots of useful information. @Standard78 and others for the warm welcome here. And JJ_Colt45 JJ_Colt45 for being a cool guy. Yeah, I'd say CPK has a few good folks floatin' around!

Have to say of the subforums I've gotten involved in this is one of the best ... most are willing to help out anytime they can. And 91bravo 91bravo sent me a little bonus suprise in a package ... I'll just say it makes me miss the mountains and fresh pines where I could find this everywhere ... but back in the midwest it's a bit tougher search ...

And everyone's been great to welcome me in and answer any silly questions I may have had

And Congrats Lorien Lorien for the new knife ... kudos to Fonedork for the generous gift.

Please forgive me if I exclude someone. This is not an exclusive list of those that have stepped up and help me along the Carother’s road. Justin Fournier, Betzner, Tommygun, Duramax, Coiledwire, CataD and of course Nathan and Jo.

Thanks to all of you and others who have been so gracious to me on this forum!!

I hate making lists cause someone always gets left out. I’ve learnt about knives, steel, hell even cooking ribs.

So if you’ve helped me in any way, from the bottom of my heart thank you!

This is the only place I hang out on forums. Thanks CPK for providing it for us.

There's no way I could make it through all the good turns done me here either. I mean heck, they come as a daily occurrence around this place :) A few that leap to the front of my mind...

Casinostocks Casinostocks proxying an EDC2 in a Friday sale. And unsolicited at that, just because he saw I missed.

trevitrace trevitrace king of one-liners who I often think 'dude you're reading my mail' :D offering to send me his LC so that I could do a comparison against another blade. That was back before I could get my hands on one and there weren't many around.

@Wood5045 for offering to loan me a Big Chris blade that I showed interest in.

91bravo 91bravo sent me sheath parts that he knew I could use. Wouldn't let me pay the shipping, just sent them out.

Man there's lots more. Oyster, glad to know you bud. JF, Standard78, Kootaga13.....Okay, I've got to quit or break out into song. I don't sing good, so quitting it is. Thanks folks. There's a bunch more of you that deserve a shout-out that I've missed. Forgive me, and thank you to all for the help.

Can't think of a better place for that knife to end up, glad it made it safely through customs!!! Don't forget to loosen the pivot back up...

I have to set the record straight though, I'm acting selfishly, I am staking that knife on my dream of replacing it with a Lorien designed CPK folder.

First, a big thank you to @Nathan the Machinist ,@Jo the Machinist , @CPK Mark and Lorien Lorien . The knives are wonderful and just what I’ve been looking for!

“Thanks” to the esteemed Mr. @betzner, for reaching out with advice.
“Thanks” to the mercurial Mr. Casinostocks Casinostocks , for helping me find info when asked.
And thank you to all those who inhabit these e-wild lands. The banter is good and I have yet to see a mob with pitchforks and lit torches heading my way.

There are already a bunch of them out there. Just not from CPK. Lorien has been prolific though with several designs that were made by Bruce Bingenheimer, Aka Bing alone. Bingalore for example.

I might be able to give you a hand landing one of Bing's Loriendesigned knives...
