In the recent What's up around here (update) I mentioned my frustration of trying to buy a FK on the secondary market and missing some offerings by minutes. Just a few hours later I got a pm from PeteyTwoPointOne offering me a unused FK with a kydex pancake and a leather pouch sheath. We worked out a trade and as of today I'm a proud owner of my first, definitely not last, CPK. I've only had it a few hours and it's already bumped my SWATMANDU out of the favorite fixed blade position, sorry Busse fans. Thanks to CPK for making a great knife and thanks to PeteyTwoPointOne for going out of his way to offer me his FK.

And if it worked for you, why not for me? So I would like to use this opportunity to express my frustration of trying to buy TeroTuf handles for my FK.
I contacted Jo but unfortunately they don't have any TeroTuf scales for the Field Knife and they will not be making an more :(:(:(

If someone wants to sell me TT handles I'm ready to pay a fair price!

This thread has not been brought to surface for a while although I’m very sure and certain that there have been many acts of generosity between us CPK folks AKA Carothers flock of faithful, since this was las updated :)

I wanted to thank @Grenock for his act of generosity for shipping me a set of scales for my LC when he saw my most recent WTB posting.

Since he does not give me his darn PayPal address as I had requested and has now stopped communicating, I have in mind a very nice gift just for him from the local adult store where a friend of mine is a VIP visitor. I think that I have dialed in Marc’s taste after knowing of him for a couple or few years on here :D

Thanks very much again Marc and also enjoy ;)

I've been on the market for a ~6" knife for a couple years but never found something that hit all my needs. When I discovered the HDFK, I knew I had to have one but was saddened to see it was discontinued (correct?). Anyways, someone posted one for sale recently but at a huge markup. Regardless, I expressed interest but the seller was not interested in shipping internationally. A day later, another user (not sure if he wants to be named) reached out to me and offered a like-new HDFK and, as of yesterday, I am now the proud owner of my own HDFK!!!

By posting a thread to ask for credit for those portions of the prior memberships which you were charged for and that you will not be using. He will add the balance somehow by extending the duration of your current membership. Anyway, keep checking that thread once a while because Spark (Admin / Site Owner) is very busy and therefore hard guy to get hold of because he also runs a retail operation. IMPORTANT UPDATE:

To all my CPK brethren regarding this post of mine in another thread, although quoting one's post is borderline cause for revoking one's mancard :D

I must state that I have now come with ample evidence to believe that two of the above memberships were indeed gifted memberships (Basic & KM-SP) and I feel that the member Miracle should have at least mentioned that it was the good deed of the CPK people who bought him those memberships. I did not know this and for now I will leave this issue at this point in here. I will not name names but the two gents who did this are among our FINEST who are far better peep than an assh*le like me. I salute these two shall-not-be-named friends and I am not cool with Nika to have not mentioned this, but give him the benefit of the doubt, barely, that maybe he didn't know any better.

CPK, it's owners, associates and customers are really class acts. At the expense of tooting my own horn, I am proud to have made worthwhile contributions to have gained the trust and the friendship of many on here. I am not an American by birth but I am a very proud (legally) adopted one, so I really value hardworking, enterprising and committed Americans who never let go of the mantle of manufacturing and producing what I consider the best of the best that even the Krauts (used endearingly, I have German connections before the PC police wets their panties :P ). I consider some of you Canadian wanderers as one of ours and us too :P :D

I used to bat really hard for a set of undeserving knife people and in the process made earned myself some enemies. F*ck them and those who are not willing to let go. I made my apologies like a big boy and took my knocks on that issue. Coming back to this, Jo & Nathan are really very special people and just to inform some of the cynics that may be reading our posts in stealth mode (not any of our regulars) I have never, ever and I mean NEVER EVER expected, asked or would accept any form of "influencing" gimme from the Carothers / CPK. I feel that I'm therefore free to speak my mind within the rules because I am not beholden to anyone or anything and if I ever step the line, NinJo will smack me hard on top of my head :D

We have something very special in here so please be respectful you new-comers and let's keep it in this way :thumbsup:
