There was only one BF sanctioned (by Spark himself nonetheless) GFM event in my recent memory and this was in early 2019 when CharlieMike had suddenly and unexpectedly passed away. CM was someone who was on these forums and very well known to many, many folks.

I am all for a chance at redemption. Nika was certainly very eager and I think that his sharpening thread is a very good thread. There are certainly cultural differences and also some language barriers. I consider my English to be quite good and I think that many Americans are actually bad at English ( :P ) but the way in which I express myself on paper / cyber, doesn't take much to figure out that I'm not native born and raised! Miracle has a chance to gather his thoughts and to explain himself after he resolves the crisis in which he says he's in. I don't think that Lorien will drop that ban hammer so long as rules are observed going forward.

For those who are new and didn't know that this thread exists, if someone within this CPK community is kind to you and gifts you something, be thankful to that person in here because it's good mannerism, unless that person asks you to remain anonymous and low-key.
 
I want to tell everyone that I'm really sorry for all the mess which came out by my actions..

I never scammed anybody and never thought to do it here. I'm more than thankful, and always have been for you guys, for kind and warm hearted acting with me.

I just acted desperately, and I know that it was my huge mistake to overstep forum rules, I knew that I shouldn't do it but at the moment I thought it was only action left for me and when it comes to beloved people and situation like I'm in it's hard to resist temptation.
I know it's not excuse and I'm not trying to say that I was right when opened thread, I also wrote to remove it if I was doing it wrong (this isn't excuse also).
Life has it's ups and downs you know and it's my hard times which I haven't had to spread all around world.

Gofoundme is also removed and refounds where sent to both people who tried to help me (idk if they want to be named here, if they want I will, it's honor to know such kind hearted people)

Gunslinger sent me 25$ on paypal and I've contacted them to refound it also.

There are also several people who acted very generous with me (actually all but there are several who did especially) I'm thankful with all my heart to you, tho I didn't deserved all this from you guys (I'll ask and if they want I'll name them, anyway everyone knows here each other very well, respects eachother and cares, that is what I love seeing in you guys and that is why I call it CPK familiy).

About memberships, yes both gold and knifemaker where gifted by generous members. I didn't deserved it also. If it is right, take it away also, I'm okay to be basic member, even more I'm ready for ban hammer also, as honestly acording to rules I deserved it also.

I won't continue writing this message anymore as everything is clear now, I'm thankful for everything, tho I didn't deserved it from you guys. And I'm really sorry for messing up things... and it's hard to explain my feelings on english when I'm thinking on different language...

I hope that everything will be fine, when it comes to ups and downs, after falling down there are ups usually... so I hope that this covid madness will end, I hope that my problems will get solved also without disturbing and involving you guys anymore.

I hope that all you will stay healthy during this hard times with your beloved people, health is priceless, and relationships are priceless also. As for me bladeforums and this little CPK island with warm hearted people is priceless also.

I would never ban someone who honestly repents for their transgressions. Although it troubles me somewhat in your statement above that you knew beforehand that you were breaking the rules and knew that was wrong, but did it anyway. For money. Someone else might choose to ban you for that, fwiw

My advice to you at this point is to lay low for the time being, and enjoy the forums as an observer.
 
Just my personal opinion on “public thanks”...

If I do something for someone, I do it for them, not for public recognition. And I actually prefer not to be mentioned openly, it drives me insane when I see videos shot by someone of themselves giving a homeless person a handout, or leaving a big tip then posting it and announcing to the world “look at me”.

But my opinion is worth exactly what you paid for it.

I'd hate to think that if I had a legit financial and/or medical crisis in my personal life that I'd be pressed to reach out for help from the other side of the globe to people I only have know on the Interwebz <for a few days> rather than solicit help from my own local community and government.

First of all im writing this to you. And if you want and if you can i would be happy that my sword would be with you. (I know it will be safe in your hands as you are cpk family member).
In case if you cant afford it or dont want because of any reasons then i will write in forums in my thread. In thread i will write that im letting it go for 3500 usd (its steal for it..), but for you I can do it for 3000.

In case if you are curious that of its really predelta 3v, i have documents from peters and brad stallsmith theor heat treat wizard. And i was building it for myself....

I can accept money throught paypal. As i will see it on paypal i will imedietly send my sword carefuly wrapped anywhwre you will tell me.

Petey, since you brought this up and put it out there in plain sight, I felt compelled to add a few things just in case the-powers-that-be read this stuff to decide Miracle's ultimate fate on here. FWIW, here it goes and I'm not saying anything which those who really matter on here (the Carothers & Lorien) are not aware of:

I took it upon myself to do some investigative sleuth work to see if this stuff was all bull, egregious malfeasances or pure acts of desperation by someone who seemed to have known better as he had admitted in his post but nevertheless went ahead with his plan / plight. After doing some Interwebs searches for schemes, scams and such originating from where Miracle claim to hail from, in addition to noting one email address of record and quite a few reverse image search, I came to the conclusion that this matter was not an ongoing scheme to part generous folks from their hard earned $ ala a an original scam or a plagiarized one. The sword appears to be genuinely his sword and Nathan can verify that there's documentation in their correspondences vis a vis pre Delta 3V tweaked HT at Peter's, as Nathan had sanctioned.

That PM which you have cited must've been sent to almost anyone in here en masse because it's a numbers game so no one was special as an individual. The best case scenario: everyone in here is special ;) Again, I believe that this guy knows some stuff and if he's willing to just sit it out, read and learn before he starts posting again, he may bring some useful stuff to the table again if he ever recovers from this total fudge up, but it's not up to me to decide this.

Ultimately if his fate is sealed, I really hope that whoever drops the ban-hammer fully refunds the great members who gifted those memberships. Again, this is not my shop but I vehemently stick by my belief that it would be wrong for BF.com to keep the money from those who made the several membership gifts if Miracle gets banned.

Thanks for the PI work CS. I mean it, no sarcasm. :) It has it's place and it's valuable data to be taken under advisement by all of us.

And I personally don't consider any legit BF members who're "all in" on Miracle's story or have been charitable toward him are morons, fwiw. I have quite the opposite opinion of these members, as a matter of fact.:thumbsup::)

But, I'll stick with my gut <solely> on this one.

I can remember a time when my gut told me..."Petey, I don't think we're related to anyone in Nigeria...don't reply to the email alerting you that you're heir to King Solomon's Mines." It turned out to be a good move, ymmv. ;)

After some of my own research, I found out Nigeria seems to be a hotbed for international fraud. I wonder how Russia ranks on those metrics? :rolleyes:

But seriously, this <guy? girl? :confused:> person has, in the very least, seriously breached what I consider universal, human decorum and consideration of others.

You just don't barge in someone's living room, plop down on the Davenport, prop your boots on the coffee table, and then ask for assistance for medical bills...you....just....don't....do it.

More especially, if you truly need the help.
 
Petey, I think that to carry on with the back and forth beyond what we've presented as pros and cons, will become nauseating and annoying.

If Mika or another new maker-member reads this and wants a learning moment, here is how-to-do-it-properly per me:

- First invest out of your own pocket to buy the correct level of membership once you decide that this is the right place for you and when you get a grasp for the rules

- Try your luck by hawking your wares in the knife-makers' for sale section. If one goes back to like 2011 or earlier, even the-now-mighty Nathan was "struggling" to sell things if his current in-demand status is a matrix to go by. One must earn his/her stripes.

- If stuff happens and you need to get cash quickly, no problem! Although it may smack of desperation, you gotta do what you gotta do: state that you are willing to take the risk (if totally unknown) by sending out your item first; yes very very risky but then the onus is on you to sift through potential suitors who may hit you up and if no one does, then search the forums and focus on those long established members who could be legit potential interested parties and if need be, at your own risk, hit them up with the above scenario, i.e, willing to ship first.

Look we all had to start somewhere!

Casino, I agree with everything you said. One thing of note. I don’t feel “taken”. I don’t think he had much in common with a Nigerian prince . I’m pretty sure he had posted on other subsections before visiting CPK. Overall I believe him and think it was out of desperation. A point in his favor, he did refund my $25. A point in mine I gave it back. I gave it with the intention of him keeping it. Like I said before, worst case I was scammed for a few bucks, best case I was able to help someone out.

Secondly you aren't in my situation and hope that you won't ever be, idk how would you overcome it.

About legitness, I've totally honestly told everyone my story, so now it's up to them to belive or not to belive me.
So who knows me better than you, knows also that we had huge expenses (maybe it's not huge for someone like you but it's huge for us) and that locally everyone helped us, starting from families, ending with government.

Overpriced? Have you ever tried to craft one by yourself? Have you seen Keffelers or Tendicks sword prices? They where sold for around 5k USD and where built simplier, wheren't mirror polished and aesthetically traditional japanese... (to make it clear I don't say that I'm Keffelers or Tendicks level, tho I've been working on blades for around 12 years and modern day blade smiths are stock removals mostly, so steel is same (mine and Keffeler heat treat matches also) and visuals are difference).
I was always saying that I was crafting it for myself, but knowing estimate price I had thought that someday I may would have to sell it for expenses.. never thought that it would come this fast..

Btw I had Borscht Soup today, and I see you had your Bull Sh*it also.

About copy of my pm, I guess I already wrote it up in number 4.
It's useless to tell you to try understand my situation, as you won't ever understand it because you aren't me, and you haven't passed what I have passed.

If I where you, I would "Investigate" this fact too, just for curiosity..

I honestly wrote that I was desperate and thought that opening and asking for gofoundme was only way I had left to do, yes I was mistaken it wasn't only way and I've said it already in my previous post and I won't be shy to ask forgivness for my mistakes over and over again.

About sword, I was making it for 1 year and for myself.
I contacted Nathan via email almost 1 years ago and asked him to help me with heat treat. He explained me everything, even told me austenitizing temperature and tempering temperatures (which I won't wrote here, evenmore he explained how to HT A2 in detaild but it's different story, thank you Nathan for being heloful). He told me that Delta 3V is proprietary but Brad can heat treat my sword with "Pre Delta 3V" protocol which immediately preceded the Delta protocol.
I still have copies of emails between me and Nathan and Brad, I also have screenshots of documents where it's clearly writen whenit was heat treated, where it was ht'd, who did ht and what steel and what RC is it.

About your vision of me PM'ing everybody, I've pm'd not everybody with request of buying my sword. I pm'd people who more or less knew me (from subforum).
So actually there are special people for me out here who I pm'd first, then after recivig their answers pm'd rest CPK family members.
And honestly every CPK family member is special for me.

About refounding membership money, I wrote it also in past post and I will write it again that, take it if you want, I don't deserve it. And I hope they will refound this two great persons.

About ban-hammer, if you think my desperate actions deserve ban-hammer go on and drop it on me, I deserve that also and Dicky will be happy also..

Anyways I had many different thoughts and feelings after what has happened, I even thought about myself like John Wick breaking rules and being hunted by protectors of "rules".
Well it's kind of a joke I tried to cheer myself...

In other words I do know forum rules, and I do respect them, tho I overstepped them because I was desperate and that was big mistake by my side and if I won't get banned it won't happen anymore, and if I will get banned what else can I honestly say, I deserve it.

As for CPK subforum, I honestly enjoyed it and tried to be part of "family", tho some might think that I've acted disrespectfuly with CPK family, I never meant it, and I'm honestly sorry for it.

About sword, I was making it for 1 year and for myself.
I contacted Nathan via email almost 1 years ago and asked him to help me with heat treat. He explained me everything, even told me austenitizing temperature and tempering temperatures (which I won't wrote here, evenmore he explained how to HT A2 in detaild but it's different story, thank you Nathan for being heloful). He told me that Delta 3V is proprietary but Brad can heat treat my sword with "Pre Delta 3V" protocol which immediately preceded the Delta protocol.
I still have copies of emails between me and Nathan and Brad, I also have screenshots of documents where it's clearly writen whenit was heat treated, where it was ht'd, who did ht and what steel and what RC is it.

About your vision of me PM'ing everybody, I've pm'd not everybody with request of buying my sword. I pm'd people who more or less knew me (from subforum).
So actually there are special people for me out here who I pm'd first, then after recivig their answers pm'd rest CPK family members.
And honestly every CPK family member is special for me.

About refounding membership money, I wrote it also in past post and I will write it again that, take it if you want, I don't deserve it. And I hope they will refound this two great persons.

About ban-hammer, if you think my desperate actions deserve ban-hammer go on and drop it on me, I deserve that also and Dicky will be happy also..

About legitness, I've totally honestly told everyone my story, so now it's up to them to belive or not to belive me.
So who knows me better than you, knows also that we had huge expenses (maybe it's not huge for someone like you but it's huge for us) and that locally everyone helped us, starting from families, ending with government.

About recap:

1. I had my reasons why I joined bladeforums (actually because of Nathan and my respect his blades (and wanted to get one))

2. After getting one, I ended up by staying on forums (CPK subforum) because I found myself in "home". So my sharpening thread was solely to help guys in CPK family, as sharpening is whole different universe and there are lots of small but important thing which have to be considered.

3. Kind members didn't gifted membership because I've asked. I never asked for it.
My gold membership was act of kindness, when man who gifted it wanted good for me (for records it was before I've wrote that sharpening thread, also his kindness was one of reasons why I've stayed on forums).
About my knifemaker membership, I didn't asked for it either but another open hearted man gifted it by himself to help me.

4. There are several reasons why I've pm'd people with offer to buy my sword.
Firstly I pm'd those who I do respect and wanted my sword to be with them if they also wanted it.
Secondly I've pm'd only CPK family members, with request and as they where CPK family members was ready to give them cheaper (I've mentioned that I was going to list it for bit higher price for others).

Overpriced? Have you ever tried to craft one by yourself? Have you seen Keffelers or Tendicks sword prices? They where sold for around 5k USD and where built simplier, wheren't mirror polished and aesthetically traditional japanese... Don't come on here and give us grief. You are banned from Bladeforums.
 
There are lots of good hearted and generous folks in here and this kindheartedness of CPKers shall not change despite this unfortunate incident. I just implore some of you to be a little more careful when gifting memberships to new members and if you must (again we are talking new members and not someone who we've come to know for looong) just gift them the basic; if they want more, they can always upgrade by spending their own dough. My as always worthless 2 cents :)
