The letters look like abbreviations for cities and/or airports. I think that would let you select the time zone that the digital screen displays, but I could be wrong.Forgive the dumb question. I am not a watch guy.
But I love the look and lay out and colors of this watch. I do not know what all the three letter little words are scattered all around the dial? And does anybody know if this is a decent watch? Or if it isn't is there other watches that have similar look to this that are more quality?View attachment 3016134
Yea they’re city codes. In all honesty I would say it’s not a decent watch. At the very least I would steer clear out of precaution. Personally I would go with something from Timex, one of the Casio brands, Citizen or SeikoForgive the dumb question. I am not a watch guy.

Yup. Some are cities. Some are airports (Americans recognize LAX), BKK = Bangkok etc.The letters look like abbreviations for cities and/or airports. I think that would let you select the time zone that the digital screen displays, but I could be wrong.

I’m not a fan of those sold in magazines like that. There’s no support if you have an issue and the marketing is dishonest. I’d stay away from Invicta for both those reasons as well. Frankly there’s no way that watch is a $399 watch that they discounted to $59. It probably cost them $10 or $15 to have it made in China. Heck, maybe less than that. I seriously doubt they are being honest about the numbers produced as well.. There are a lot of great affordable options that don’t rely on dishonest marketing. No matter where they’re made. Not meaning to bash China right now or make it political.
Thank you for the thought. I am still lookingI don’t mean to badger youBrian77 but I saw the ad you shared a while back in a publication recently and it made me think to ask the following:

Generous offer. Very cool!I have been wearing G-shock watches for a very long time. I wore a GW-6900 for several years before trying a square G. Once I tried the square G, I never went back. I have a well-worn (but still in good shape) GW-6900 that I'll gladly ship to someone for free if you'll wear it. I know I won't wear it and it needs a good home. It's got a few hundred thousand miles on it but it's good for at least a million miles. First reply from a paid member I recognize gets it. View attachment 3045597
