CPKs and beer!!!!

Just enjoying a little suds before my hip replacement 2/5🥳. Can’t come soon enough but I’m scared, first surgery. After a couple of Goodnight Kevin’s, 13.8 alc., what could go wrong?View attachment 2769545

Did you work out the D3V replacement with Nathan and the doctors yet?! lol

I know things will go great for you and hope your recovery is lightning fast my friend!!!!

Best wishes for a speedy recovery!

On the plus side, the more you drink, the speedier the recovery will seem (“don’t remember much. Was mostly a blur” 😂😂😂).

woodysone woodysone I had a total hip replacement two years ago, and it was amazingly easy. I was up and walking down the hall with a walker 1 1/2 hours after the surgery, and was sent home later the same day, and the recovery was rapid. I was walking without a cane within 3 weeks, and pretty much recovered within 6 weeks. But it's important to religiously follow the physical therapy instructions to insure a quick and complete recovery, and you need to avoid some leg positions for a while to prevent the new hip from dislocating until it's had time to heal. Good Luck! Hope yours goes as smoothly as mine did.

woodysone woodysone I am sure you will do just fine.
Make sure you have your home health/ out patient PT appointments scheduled.
Do your exercises and stick with it. Hips are big joints with lots of muscle around them, so they typically heal quick.
Most people do about 8 weeks of outpatient physical therapy.
🙏💪
