CPKs and beer!!!!

After seeing so many IPAs and PAs posted here I decided to give one a try. I chose this one because the can said it was smooth and silky, plus the 7.5% alcohol content wasn't bad. It certainly was smooth and silky but it just wasn't my favorite flavor. Worth a shot.

On to the next one.

IPA's are a whole universe of beers.......I used to love them, but I don't personally like the whole trend lately (10-15 years) in the beer industry.
I think I'm getting old..... I like "Boring Beers" too, now. And EVERYTHING is trying to be too over the top!

I'm not familiar with the beer you drank?

But I'd recommend Bell's Two Hearted Ale. A trout, I think Is on the label???
* Its more Old School, 1980-1990's styled American IPA. It's more balanced between the maltiness and the hoppiness, and the bitterness. It should be easy to find.

Now, IPA's are less structured. And the millennial's put Too much stuff in them!

I'd agree that Bell's Two Hearted IPA is one of the more balanced IPAs available. I'd usually go back and forth between it and Torpedo from Sierra Nevada when I'm drinking IPAs regularly.

Lately I've been buying a variety pack from Brevard Brewing which features 12 cans split up into 3 IPA, 2 Lager, 3 Pilsner, 2 Dunkel and 2 Red Ale. Gives me something different to enjoy daily without getting burned out on any one.

Kyle, the brewer, doesn't try to artificially push the ABV, over hop, or over malt. Nice, balanced and drinkable.

I used to be all over the map in my beer selections. Now I just give the local brewery most of my business. They do a great job. Half their beers are regulars - available all the time and the other half are rotating selections. Some of the rotating selection being semi-regular.
I just picked up some of their American lager that is available every 4th of July.

But most of the time I just drink Guinness.

Blues Blues influenced my 4th of July beer purchase at the store today. ;)

I went with a semi-local brewery out of Athens, GA called Creature Comforts.

I picked up a 6-Pack of both their Lager and Pilsner.

I'll post up the Pilsner tomorrow after mowing the lawn. :)
