Samuel Adams Octoberfest used to be so good. That a long time ago though. I think you can taste corn syrup in it now. Which, if you are into candy corn, I guess it has a Halloween vibe?

I loved it when they first released it way back when but haven't had it in years.

I loved it when they first released it way back when but haven't had it in years.

Maybe my tastes have changed. But I swear it used to be clean and dry with a bite, and now it's syrupy with no clear discernible flavor, just bleh.

Although I was drinking Samuel Adams almost 30 years ago (17-year-old college student living away from home) when the Boston ale was better than the Boston lager and they had this black beer that you would forego grocery money to buy it when you could find it. Some kind of a cream stout I think but not anything I've seen recently.

Again, maybe my tastes have changed. 30 years ago it wasn't uncommon to have no decent beer available at all in some towns and Samuel Adams was the best beer I'd ever had. Young people today don't know how good they've got it.

Sure, that’s Lorien’s DEK1 Sheath. I put some Sagewood Gear Universal Scout Straps on it for cross draw.

The beer is OK I guess, nothing to write home about
Seems like an IPA light but 6.7%
The DEK1 though is still spectacular

I couldn't agree more.....I was kind of let down by it!

I did try these for the first time yesterday and enjoyed them more than expected!
