Sounds more like the can would piss on your face if you tilted it up too far

If you needed a vent hole to chug faster, wouldn't it be better to put the can to your mouth and tilt the can up, then poke a hole in the upper end of the side of the can?

It will work either way, a huge hole in the bottom of the can is preferred for speed I think. Miller Lite had cans with a separate hole marked in the top of the can you could punch in to speed the flow up lol.
