Hello everyone! Spring is officially here! Down in central TX, that means staring down the barrel of another summer. Lovely.

I have another knife in my favorite PM alloy, CPM 10V! This is one of my most popular designs, being simple and neutral in any grip style. The heat treatment was done in house, as always, including a "cryo" quench and triple tempers. The geometry is pretty dog gone thin for an actual dedicated EDC knife, to be fair. If that was the goal, I missed it. It really lends itself to more of a paring knife role, but my paring knives have stock that is half the thickness of this knife. It has a very nice distal taper for a VERY acute and thin tip. The edge geometry is slightly convex. While grinding the bevels I take it to basically "zero", and then sharpen to apex at 9° per side. I then knock off the shoulders created by that edge, back to "zero", and then all it takes is a few swipes at 15° per side with diamond plates, and voila! This gives the edge a slight convex to it, gliding through stuff as you cut. The blades has a hand rubbed finish, and I used 400 mesh diamond pads to ease my pain a little bit. For those who have never tried hand polishing CPM 10V at 65HRC, it literally feels like trying to polish glass. The handle is natural canvas micarta with blue liners. As always, just stupid sharp. 1200 mesh diamond, 3 micron diamond, then 1 micron diamond lapping film. Stupid sharp. Edge maintenance will be very easy due to how thin the edge actually is. This is a cardboard slicing machine! I wouldn't try any nail cutting parlor tricks with it, that's for sure.

OAL: 8 1/4"
Blade: 4"
Handle: 4 1/4"
Thickness: 0.098", taper to tip
Steel: CPM 10V 65HRC
Edge: 15° per side, 1 micron

Paypall preferred (samuraistuart@yahoo.com). All knives come with free shipping in the USA as well as a lifetime unconditional warranty. Something goes wrong, the knife gets repaired or replaced. I ask that the buyer be aware that most all of my knives are cutting tools and are made only for their intended use. I like to make thin, hard knives that excel at cutting and not necessarily able to take abuse. If you have any questions, feel free to DM me here or contact me by email (samuraistuart@yahoo.com). Thanks for taking a look, and follow me on Instagram at stuartalandavenport.
