Hey guys,
Up for grabs is the ultimate bushcrafter. This is a custom by Chris Berry. Its a .147 thick CPM 10V blade at FULL HARDNESS (64) with a full flat grind and a full and thick handle. Comes with a perfect fitting leather sheath. Here are the full specs
147 CPM 10V
Ht by Peters' to 64 RC
9.937" OAL
5.125" blade tip to scales
4.875" tip to plunge
Fully contoured black canvas micarta over orange G10 liners
Ground to .010 before sharpening
This is hands down the absolute best cutter I have ever used. I bought this knife to test out 10V and Im blown away by its performance. It cuts like a hack saw and stays sharp forever!!! It puts everything I have ever used to utter shame including S90V.
I used this knife on a fishing trip to clean trout, slice up veggies, start fires etc... It passed every task with flying colors. You will be able to make legendary fuzz sticks with this knife. Im only selling it because I want money to buy another knife in 10V with a different blade length and shape. Ive always liked alot of belly on my knives and I prefer about an inch shorter blade for a bushcrafter/ hunter/ all around utility.
The knife is in great shape and Ive taken good care of it. I touched up the edge on my paper wheels just to see how sharp it can get. It is now OUT OF THIS WORLD sharp. It will slice better than anything you've ever used. I have to warn you though. 10V rusts very easily and due to the rough belt finish that the knife has you will need to keep a very close eye on it to avoid rust. You may just want to go ahead and force a patina on it. Even with good care I still managed to get some spots of discoloration. I was able to buff them out with some compound but removing stains is hard because of the belt finish. The finish looks very good right now but may have some extremely light areas of greyish oxidation. Again, very, very light but may still be noticeable in the right lighting. Also there is a little bit of polishing compound in between the lines of the belt finish towards the tip of the blade. I will try to remove it with some acetone before shipping.
Looking for $ 265 now 255 shipped. Paypal and money order are fine. International is OK as long as the buyer pays for the actual shipping cost and assumes responsibility once the knife leaves the US.
