Wow, another great looking knife Mike, someone is going to get a bargain on this one. I sure do like mine.

I've been waiting for your next knife and this is wonderful. I was really hoping to see a little more homage to the home state here in Wisconsin like that last sheath. The timing is off for me right now, but I'll own one of your pieces as soon as it all lines up. Love the look of the knife!

I'll take it. PM sent.

...and I'm delighted that it's CPM154 and not 154cm. Excellent.
The wood is wonderful with the grain structure. Nice video.

This knife is spf, thanks for looking.

Thanks tac4me. I'm trying to get one knife out a week, which comes out to about every 2-4 weeks in real life. When I get around to either buying or making a new stencil I plan to have Wisconsin on it. Either an outline or written out. Thanks again!

I'm glad you like the CPM154. It's from the Syracuse plant before they declared bankruptcy. My Mom was raised in Syracuse, my Dad went to Syracuse University (forrestry) and my Grandma (99 years old) still lives there. I bought up a bunch of it when I heard they may be shutting down and I've been using it sparingly. I also just found out a couple of months ago that my Mom worked at Crucible in the 50's as a receptionist

Neat story! I also love the steel choice, although I don't have any issues with 154CM. Kind of like saying do you want a Rolex or a gold Rolex? Great material and I love seeing blades in something other than O1, 1095, 5160 and the like. Choice is part of what makes this country great! :P

I received the knife and sheath today. I am very pleased. The handcraftsmanship and dedication to quality makes this one excellent Christmas gift for somebody special. Thanks again. It is excellent.

In case anyone was watching this thread:

The person that bought this upgraded to the Elmax model because of the handle size. This will be available as soon as I have it in my hands. UPDATED 12/12.

I'll post here when I get it back but will probably be opening a REPOST thread and close this one.

Thanks, Mike
