Blade steel is CPM 154 CM heat treated by Paul Bos to a RC 59-60.
The knife has a tapered tang and the blade has a distal taper.
Handle a mosaic of maple and padauk. This handle is a solid and durable as any wood. I don't recomend it, but I ran a piece through the dishwasher with no ill effect. I froze a piece in water with no ill effect.
As far as I know, I am the only knifemaker to be making mosaic handles like this. One appeared in the 31 edition of Knives 2011 pg. 93.
Comes with a horizontal 8-9 oz. tooled leather sheath.
Decorative pins are stainless steel.
