As you may have gathered all my knives I name after mans best friend. This on is the Labrador, a good daily companion and right at home on the hunt, but can show aggression when his master is threatened.
The knife is made from Crucible cpm 154.
The OAL is 8 ½ X 1 ¼ at the widest point cutting edge is 4 the blade is .160 thick
The bolster is 316 SS and dovetailed.
The tang is tapered from the .160 down to .084 with full file work starting at the base of the tang extending to 1 from the tip.
The handle is made out of Buckeye, Burl, Spalted, and Stabilized by WSSI.
The sheath is all hand tooled and hand painted (dyed) on both sides so it can be carried either left, right-handed or across the back. The design will role with you when getting in and out of a vehicle or on or off a 4 wheeler. The outfitters that have purchased this style of sheath have wanted nothing else and the feedback has all been positive from them when bending up and down while stalking game.
The leather is 100% American saddle leather.
The belt loop is made from 13-15 oz leather and the pouch that is cut specific to the knife is made of 8-10 oz leather. The sheath has a lynch pen that can be used to keep the knife secure, a Idea is from blade forum member Warren Higgins, used with his permission or there is a loop on the top to place the pen out of the way when not required or could be removed completely if not wanted.
The knife also comes with a display made from an old spur and pony shoe.
