Cpm 20cv question

I don't know guys I'm not really too good at sharpening. But ZT does have sharpening service. But it would probably take a Month of Sundays to get it sharpened because they're in Oregon. Is there anyone here on blade forums that sharpens knives?

You could always just put these resources towards getting a sharpening system with diamond stones and precise angle control from a company like KME. Something like their "Deluxe Kit" will set you up nicely and give you plenty to explore.

The best trick for higher end, higher hardness steels, is never let them get dull, (and B. Buy from a reputable brand that offers a great warranty/spa service)...

You can absolutely keep a high end steel like 20cv sharp with what you have, provided it comes sharp, and you strop with it regularly. The main issue is once a blade actually gets dull, then do you have what it takes to get it sharp again? Higher end steels such as 20cv or m390, while relatively still sharp, they can still be honed pretty well with ceramics and such, once they are dull, they are harder then the surface of the sharpening medium, so actually getting them sharp again is much harder without diamonds and such...
