I'm away from home at an unavoidable engagement and was going to wait until I returned to post this, but I've found myself with some spare time and a wish to be driven insane, so I've decided to just post it with my mobile phone.
This poor blade was finished almost a month ago and it's high time it goes up for sale.
I haven't posted here in a long while (back trouble), so I wanted to put up something real nice for everyone. I'll leave it BF exclusive for 24hrs since I haven't been around in so long.
This is the prototype for a customer commission, and the first of its kind. I wanted to to be as bulletproof as possible but still an amazing cutter, so 3V with a near zero grind seemed like a good choice.
I used a piece of buckeye from my personal reserve. If you're into this look, you are unlikely to often see a piece this unique and attractive.
The sheath is my own work also, in premium euro veg tan tooling leather, hand stitched with basketweave tooling, and button snap retention.
I'd like $595 for this piece, including shipping.
CPM 3V @ 61.5, Cryo + triple temper
.218" thick at ricasso, slight distal taper
Near zero flat grind, flat ground clip (unsharpened)
9" from tip to guard, 14.5" oal
Premium stabilized buckeye burl
416ss hardware
Finish is satin polish 400g cork
