Good afternoon!
I have one of my "Terasaur" harpoon hunters up for grabs today. It is 3V steel that was heat treated to RC61. The handle material was obtained from a blade forums member a number of years ago who lives in Europe. He wasn't sure of the exact age but thought is was around the 80's. The guard is blackened brass with a hammered face for texture. This is one of my favorite patterns and with summer coming up it would work great in your camping arsenal.
SPECS:
OAL: 11.75"
BLADE: 6.25" long, 1.5" wide. The flats were left virgin mill scale for effect. It has been belt finished to 400 grit. The grind is hybrid flat/convex which is down to 0.012" before sharpening.
STEEL: 0.18" CPM 3V carbon tool steel heat treated to RC61 using low temp tempering protocol.
HANDLE: Vintage natural canvas micarta. The butt end shows the "bark" of the micarta. The guard is blackened brass with a textured hammered face. It has black G10 and natural micarta spacers and brass pin.
SHEATH: Pouch style leather
