Hey guys! I just finished up this very cool wakizashi in a rarely seen traditional style.
This spear point style is called "Kissaki Moroha zukuri"
This one has a 14.75" blade with deep fuller and a false back edge.
The tsuba, or guard is heat colored 6al4v Titanium. Very strong and very light.
It features a tsuka ito style handle that is epoxy soaked for max durability.
The hammered copper menuki add a nice rustic contrast.

I made nice kydex sheath that snaps securely over the guard and releases with a press of your thumb.
The balance point is just 1.75" in front of the guard.

What a great piece. I seem to recall one like it that had a hand rubbed finish rather than acid etch, had a 16" blade. Oh, just saw it yesterday, somewhere.

Ah, now I remember, somewhere near a big rock in the ocean!

I love the look of this one, too. Great finish. And I can attest to the quality!

Another cool piece, Ben!

Pics working for me now.... Luckily I was able to handle this piece at Bladeshow west!! Both the wakazashi and ko-katana sword, and the carbon fiber wrapped Terro Tough saya were amazing!!

It was great to talk to Ben, and handle his knives and swords.

I'm oogling and caressing the kwaken I picked up from you at the show!! (With the green under wrap and "hot" colored menuki.
