While you are looking into CPM 4V you might want to try the Latrobe Speciality Steel PGK:

It looks a lot like Cru-Wear and would be interesting to test side-by-side.

CPM 4V is for real and we have some on order. Sheet should be available by mid to late April. We are working on a datasheet with Crucible and Latrobe and we will have it on our website by weeks end.
