I just read where the New steels are not consistent with performance except one, CPM A30. Sal, is Spyderco testing this steel? On the other hand, A2, D2, 02 and 154CM, for example, were consistent with performance.

Where are you getting your info?
Crucible doesn't list CPM A30 on their website, I've never heard of it anywhere else, and all Google comes up with is stuff about internet advertising and some medical research.
I'm pretty sure you read a typo.
CPM S30V is often abbreviated "S30V" or sometimes just "S30", add "CPM" to "S30" while hitting "A" instead of "S" and you get "CPM A30" (whew, that's a lot of quotes).
If Crucible is working on something better than S30V that would be great, but I'm pretty sure it's a typo.
Sorry all. A30 was a type-o. S30V is the "new" steel that has shown the most consistent overall good results in performance. But the "old" steels like A2, D2, and 154CM, were "right there" with the same results.
