This is my large chef pattern ground from 3/32" CPM D2, 13" overall with an 8" blade, 2 1/8" deep. This blade features my new mark for 2010 and is handled in desert ironwood secured with 1/4" stainless corby fasteners. Ht'd and cryoed by me to 62 Rc. Satin finished with a polished spine.

Ground thin (0.015" at the edge prior to sharpening) in a continuous taper, The blade will be an excellent slicer and all-around kitchen blade with excellent weight and balance.

Nathan,

That is a gorgeous and functional looking knife. I especially like the steel you chose, the thin width of blade, and the edge you put on it.

Just to let you all know, I will be unreachable for the next week as me and my crazy red-headed lady are off to Mexico for our wedding. First person to post here or pm gets the knife (pending payment of course). I will check back in here as soon as I can.

And yes the handle is ironwood from that log.

Have a good one,

Nathan

Beautiful knife, too much for my student budget... :(
Just thought I would ask, how is your hand doing?
