I would like to hear from people who have used CPM D2. How is the edge quality compared to S30V, AEB-L, standard D2, A2, etc?
Is it difficult to sharpen?

I have regular D2 and CPMD2 on hand. If my kiln ever shows up and I get the HT down, I will definitely be comparing them side-by-side.

In theory, the CPM should give a finer, longer-lasting edge due to the smaller, tougher carbides. Makes sense, but personally I can't prove it yet. I asked about this a while ago; lots of guys said they like regular D2 just fine, and many said if you step up to the CPM you won't regret it.
