This is my personal hunter model with a blade in CPM M4 and mesquite handles. It is full flat ground from relatively thin stock, so the edge is nice and thin for excellent cutting ability. Quite a few of my customers are using my hunters in the kitchen as well. They work great in the kitchen! I steer my hunter knife geometry towards the thin side, along with higher than average hardness levels. This blade was heat treated by Peter's Heat Treating Services, with cryo, to 64HRC. The edge thickness prior to sharpening was about 0.010", 0.020" is about 5/32" up, and 0.030" a full 1/4" up. Handle is mesquite with very nice color and figure to it, 800 grit finish, oiled, and satin poly for protection. Very comfortable in the hand. Sharpening was done with DMT DiaSharp plates from extra coarse thru extra extra fine, approx 3 micron. As always, this knife is extremely keen and sharp! "S Davenport" maker's mark on left side, "CPM M4" steel ID on right side.

OAL: 8 7/16"
Blade: 3 7/8"
Handle: 4 11/16" (measured from edge heel)
Thickness: 0.079" (tapered to point)
Edge: 30° inclusive, 3 micron
