CPM-M4 Mini Grip!

Good stuff. I have a pair of those and a pair of the M2 Ritters. I'm not sure BM didn't do a better job with the HT on the M2...
+1
I think you are right on there JNewell.
I too have a pair of the M2 models and prefer the M2's over the M4's.
Wasn't sure if the differences were just in my head or not.
Thanks for the insight.

I have a presidio with BM's old heat treat (think it was 59-61) and Griptillians with the new heat treat (62-64). Very noticeable difference between how edge holding.

FWIW, the new higher Rc BM M4 should run like a champ. I have a couple but haven't really put them to work. I still love that Ritter blade, though.

Slightly OT, but I took a look at your work on your PB website - wow! :)

Yep. I have the Presidios with the lower HT as well. I've rolled the edge on more than one occasion.

There's an argument that a rolled edge is better than a chipped edge...but I don't edge-pry with my knives, give me higher Rc every time. ;)

The sad thing is that I wasn't doing anything rough with it, either. It still holds up better than 154CM, but it definitely demonstrates why Benchmade was smart to up the heat treat.

I agree, and I'd guess BM won't see any noticeable increase in warranty claims, either. Win-win all around.

Man is that tempting. I just purchased my first EDC full size Griptilian D2 a week ago and already I'm pondering this. Will I ever be satisfied? LOL

Does PB stand for paintball (aka my other addiction)?

These would be sweet with the Ritter blade shape and DLC coating!

Well I pulled the trigger on a second for backup purposes.

And my Cuscadi scales were ordered this morning. I went for a plain look. Textured black g10 with a flush black g10 spacer and black hardware. Boring, but my taste. I'm excited!

I got to handle the prototype at GP Knives today. The finish on the blade is just like the Contego, and I think everyone is going to love it.

So your thinking something like this?
