I'll give that a try!I was having similar warping on magnacut. Once i started giving them just a wee bit longer between the plates and I haven't had a single one warp at all out of 50 blades or so or so. Just my two cents.
The 3-pin vise method led to three MagnaCut blank breakages and countless other blades over the years. I am glad to be done with that method. The carbide hammer method is a little bit more time consuming, but I get a super straight blade and am at very little risk of breaking anything. Evidently the carbide god's governing the straightening process aren't too particular about the type of metal. I just straightened some .050" titanium scales. Much better than the 3-pin-vise-process thingy.
