CPM Steel Update

I just wanted to let everyone know that we are receiving our first shipment of CPM steel early next week. We are getting CPM-154, CPM S30-V and 154-CM on the first load. Sheet should be available by the end of January. We are going to test the billets for cleanliness to ensure nothing has changed at the mill but I don't expect we will have any problems. We currently have 440-C and D-2 in stock and we should have CPM 3-V and CPM M-4 in stock soon from billet that we bought from the old Crucible.

CPM S35-VN, S90-V, and 15-V will be here in another week or two and we will stock some sheet in these grades as well.

We'll have a price list on our web site soon for the Crucible product. You will be able to find it on the products page at www.nsm-ny.com.

what's the composition/comparison for CPM S35-VN?

For now all I can tell you is that it is similar to CPM S30-V with the addition of about .5% Niobium and about 1% less Vanadium. We will post the official data sheet as soon as we get it.
