Hey, everyone!
I hope you're having a good weekend and I am VERY excited about this new one.

As the title so implies, I am calling this one the Wharn-cleaver (not to sound gimmicky), because I think it is stout enough to be a cleaver but with no belly.

I took this bad boy's grind up to about 2/3rds the blade, and finished it with the bevel, and against the bevel on the flats, to 400 grit fine satin finish.
I used black g10 from alpha knife supply (0.150 thick) and applied a nice contour to it.
Stainless steel pins and lanyard hole are being used (don't worry, the lanyard hole fits paracord ;) )
I finally got to use some blue kydex that I had lying around for ages and it came out quite nice I must say.
Some stats for nerds:

Overall length:7.5"
Blade length (from plunge): 3 1/8"
Blade length from ricasso: 3.5"
Handle length:4"
Blade thickness: 0.150
Heatreated by brad stallsmith at peters heat treat to 58-59 Rockwell.

Note: "insert some excuse for the makers mark being very slightly crooked by about 0.010"

Looks great. One question and one request.

Is the front edge sharpened?

Could you provide a spine shot of the handle so I could see the contouring?

Thanks.

Hey thanks for the interest! Sorry i did not reply sooner since i was in church and did not receive the email notification on my phone.

#1: no the front swedge is not sharpened but it is somewhat thin and convex and I could put and edge on it if you would like.

#2: The handle is not HEAVILY contoured but there is an obvious radius and in my opinion is just as comfortable as a heavily contoured knife
