Have there been any photos of this knife posted yet? I think I remember hearing a few "test" models were sent out to different individuals....any of them have a camera? :D

I will try to take some of the testor I have right now. I am sending it off in a couple days, but will try to post some photos.

That would be awesome to see some pic's to tide us over until it arrives!;)

Here they are. My picture taking sucks, but you can at least get a quick peek. This had the sharpest factory edge of any knife I have tried to date, and was around 13 degrees per side and .019"-.020" at the top of the bevel. The lock up was very solid and spine whacks had no effect on it. For my hand the ergonomics were very good with or without a glove, and unlike the knife I tested it against I got no hot spots on my hands during extended rope cutting. It seems to take a polished edge almost identical to my Manix as it can pushcut newsprint about 5" from the point of hold when highly polished, but I have yet to rope test my Manix to compare edge retention. Once my numbers are crunched from my testing on rope against a D2 fixed blade I will post them in the review section.

Gunmike1, might I ask where you managed to find that Military :D

It was given out to Cliff Stamp as a tester, and he is sending it along with a Mel Sorg fixed blade D2 knife to a test group to compare the two steels. They are soon to be off to whoever the next tester is.

Ohhh I see. Guess it'll be a little longer before I can get my hands on one :D

You mean Spyderco gave Cliff a knife to.....test?

Cliff's not testing it (at least not yet, though I don't know that he will ever test it), he hasn't even touched it. It was sent to me factory fresh, and it is going out to a test group to evaluate against a standard D2 knife.

Thanks for the photos. I have a 440V Milli, it'll be fun comparing the two steels when these come out.
