Okay, so a month ago I purchased the Emerson that I've always wanted, the CQC-10. Here is the thread: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/1079761-Some-CQC-10-passion

Anyway, I ended up sending it back for the serrated version. This will be a work knife and serrations are really advantageous for the kind of work that I do.

Now, I instantly fell in love when the Jungle Commander came out but couldn't justify buying another Commander just for green handle scales. So when I got my CQC-10 back, I figured what the hell....I'll make my own "Jungle CQC-10"!! A little OD Green duracoat on the G-10 and man what a difference, I love it! The liners even got duracoated in black and I think they look better that way. Well, hope ya guys like it. Here's some photos...

Awesome! Loving the blacked out liners. I feel they should be standard on knives of a certain breed.

I usually don't like user mods, but that one looks fantastic. Outstanding work.

That looks bad ass! I'm tempted to try that myself. Let me know how the dura coat holds up to edc use.

$2.00 at the flea market today. Should I try to polish up the blade, or keep it like it is. Opens very smooth.

Wow. Now I kind of wish coated liners came as an option with coated blades direct from Emerson. That would look awesome.

The CQC-10 is my favorite Emerson too. The stealth treatment on yours looks outstanding!

Wow! Did all the surfaces take the Duracoat okay (G10, stainless, Ti,?)

How's it holding up???

That is a PRACTICAL and BEAUTIFUL user "mod"!

I'm looking to buy a CQC10 or Endeavor online in the next couple of days...

Yes, all the surfaces took really well to the Duracoat. Even better than I expected to be honest. And it is holding up extremely well so far. I haven't exactly put it through hell and back yet, but it has seen a fair amount of real work since I duracoated it. A few scuffs here and there, but absolutely no color wearing off either on the grips or the liners. Pretty happy and impressed so far. Here's a photo I just snapped of it for ya:
