CQC-11 UTCOM- Opinions

I had one, loved it. For some dumbass reason I sold it. I suspect I'll end up buying another.

It's big, but it's flat, and I found it carried unobtrusively enough. I gave up on it because when I tried to wave it open, the tip of the blade would often catch on the sleeve of my jacket, or the tails of my untucked shirt. I should have changed the way I dressed, or practiced more to avoid that, rather than selling the knife. I really liked the ergonomics. It was one of the most comfortable handling knives I've owned, and felt very secure in many grips.

I have a CQC-11 on the way. I just have one question that I haven't been able to satisfy.....what the hell does UTCOM stand for?? I tried searching for it but the only thing close was 'University of Tennessee college of medicine" whereas i was expecting something more like "undersea training command" or something of the like...any trivia nuts?

In my opinion the cqc11 blackhawk is the best knife Emerson has ever made it's great as a utility knife but shines in the fighting area changeup is smooth and has just the right amount of recurve to make cuts bone deep.
