Has anyone else had a problemn with the liner on this model going all the way over and locking up the blade?
Wierd thing is if I open the knife slowly it don't happen.
Also the last little ridge on the liner that fits aginst the blade itself is a bluish color, like it got too hot.
I only have 2 Emerson knives this 1 and a Specwar that's perfect in every way, and EKI says send it back.
I do custom knife work for a living and when I 1st got the CQC I took it apart and cleaned it, everything looked fine.
Now I'm wondering if I got something out of place. Thanks for looking, Ron

well, if you had the knife closed after you re-assembled it, and it locked out after you opened it, I doubt you had anything out of place. The screws seem to do a pretty good job of aligning everything when you put em in and tighten em up.

And either way, I don't think emerson voids warranty for disassembly... I'd send it in.

I do a lot of work on Emersons and your liner should not go all the way over......of course.

As far as the color on the end of the locking bar, that is a good thing. When we make customs knives, we purposely heat the end with a torch to get the right treatment on the end for engagement. It gives it that color you mention. Of course, we blast or finish over it to hide it!

I would get the liner engagement fixed though,
