CQC-7V First Impressions

Normally I can't stand tanto knives, but this one is an exception. Everything flows really well... I just might have to pick one of these up myself.

Well Al, I know it aint a V :p But, I do have a CQC7B arriving tomorrow from our friends in Vancouver, had to see what there all about. I did receive a CQC7AW a couple of weeks ago, its a beauty for sure.

You will love the 7B, Dave. I find it hard to pick a V over the B, as both are great knives, but if I absolutely had to choose, I would probably go with the 7B.

I absolutely love my 7B, it was my first Emerson and my first chisel grind. Despite my affinity for a V grind, I have never had any issues or gripe with the chisel. Dave, I concur -- you will love the 7B. It's a well-made knife and a great cutter!

Good stuff! All my others, A100's and 7A's are V grinds. I'm thinking if a fella is into Emersons,he should have a chisel grind as well.

I bought a 7V last summer and really, really liked it. One of my favorite Emersons. Ended up trading it a while back in a deal for another knife I was drooling over. It ate away at me for a month or so and I hated the thought of it being gone. So I contacted the guy, made a generous offer, and bought it back.

The 7V is such a great all-round pocket knife I bought it twice. That's about as high praise as I can give.

Ain't that the truth. I bought my first Emerson about a year and a half ago. Since then, I've amassed 22 more...one of which is a 7V. :D

poor guy....you've acquired so many you don't even know what you got anymore....

...I'm pretty sure you've amassed a pair of 7Vs

and just to be clear we're related. I'm not an internet stalker or anything :mask:

Oh yeah right...a black and stonewashed blade 7V. Thanks for reminding me bro! :D

I love mine SO MUCH. I seriously don't think I can bring myself to carry any of my other knives now. Until I get something new, which probably won't happen for awhile! :D

Best,
Trev

That's my most AND least favorite thing about Emersons - there are so many blade shapes, finishes, colors, sizes, etc. one could drive him or her self mad with selection!
